CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FORMER PATIENT, BETHANY STARNES, FOR BEING THE FIRST CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY UNDERGRAD TO BE PUBLISHED IN "EXPLORATIONS", A NC UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PUBLICATION. READ ABOUT IT HERE. SCHOOL AND SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS
We are aware that school, work and extracurricular activity schedules are hectic and we want you to know that we will try our best to work with you to schedule appointments in our office. The time after school hours is your most requested time in which to make appointments. To be most fair to everyone, we will try to alternate appointments during school hours and after school hours. (If you have an appointment after school this month, we will schedule your next appointment during school hours.) Having said that, there are some procedures that must be scheduled in the mornings to allow more treatment time in the afternoons. For example, an appointment that is one to two hours in duration is scheduled in the morning. These types of appointments include:
We are in tune to the fact that the high schools require students to be in class for at least forty-five minutes to an hour to be counted present and that a certain amount of absences results in required end of semester testing. Also, there are certain classes that require a test regardless of absences and we suggest that morning appointments be made during the time of these classes. As a service to you, we are working hard to make the scheduling fair for all of our patients. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us with this matter. WE'RE ON FACEBOOKLike us on FACEBOOK and see who is showing off their pretty smiles!! SEE YOUR DENTIST REGULARLYWe would like to emphasize to our patients the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene while wearing orthodontic appliances including brushing, flossing and seeing your dentist on a regular basis. The ADA recommends cleaning and check-up appointments in your dentist's office at least twice a year to keep your pearly whites in good condition. Keeping your teeth and gums in a healthy condition not only allows the teeth to move more quickly, but prevents cavities, periodontal disease and even BAD BREATH! In addition, the flouride treatment provides extra protection against scarring (decalcification marks) on the teeth. To encourage our patients to keep their regular dental check-up appointments, we have a program whereby each patient will be given a card to be signed by their dental office when they go for a cleaning/check-up. The card will be brought back to our office where it will be entered into a quarterly drawing for a prize. We truely appreciate our patients and want them to have beautiful, healthy smiles!
