APPOINTMENTS
If you or a member of your family can potentially benefit from orthodontic treatment, please call our office and we will happily schedule an appointment for you. We have devoted considerable time and effort into designing our scheduling system to benefit our patients. Our goals are:
Longer, more involved procedures, are scheduled during the morning and shorter adjustments are scheduled throughout the day, including first thing in the morning or in the afternoon. We schedule in this manner so we can accommodate as many patients as possible with their routine shorter treatment appointments in the afternoon. APPOINTMENTS DURING SCHOOL HOURS Because we normally see patients every 2 to 10 weeks, missing school normally only occurs three to five times during a school year. In order to be fair to all of our patients, we attempt to alternate appointments between school hours and non-school hours. LATE ARRIVALS Each procedure takes a specified period of time and late arrivals affect our schedule and our other patients. If a patient arrives late, we will likely not be able to complete all that we had planned or that is necessary. If you believe you will be arriving late, please call our office so that we may make appropriate arrangements. RESCHEDULED OR MISSED APPOINTMENTS We realize that occasionally unforeseen circumstances arise which necessitate a change in an appointment or cause you to overlook an appointment. We will do our best to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible; however, in order to avoid a delay in treatment, it may become necessary to reschedule an after-school appointment to one during school hours. Missed appointments or numerous appointment changes will result in an extension of your treatment time. EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS If your appliances become loose or irritate your gums, lips or cheeks, please call our office for us to help you determine what repairs are needed and how urgent the repair needs to take place. Time for emergency type of appointments is allotted each day. |
